Learn Spanish in Toledo

Intensive summer course carried out during the month of July are a unique opportunity to make a linguistic immersion in the Spanish language and culture whereby linguistics competences are improved in an environment of multicultural coexistence.

 

ESTO Programme of the University of Castilla-La Mancha imparts its Spanish courses inside the UCLM facilities, in the historic centre of Toledo and accommodation at The Collegue Dorm enforces the coexistence and friendship among students from different countries.

Subject & Teaching Hours

Total of 80 hours (20 per week)

20 teaching hours per week (a whole of 80 hours) Hourly distribution of subjects:

Levels A1-A2-B1-B2: Learning and practice of Spanish grammar (6hours) + Communicative practices: oral and listening skills (6 hours) + Written Spanish: Reading comprehension and composition of texts (6 hours) + Phonological competence (2 hours)

Level C1: Literature (10 hours) + Culture and Civilization (10 hours)

Non-Academic & Culture

This programme includes 10 extracurricular activities of interest for the student at no additional costs. Among them, guided tours to museums and places of interest in To- ledo as well as Spanish cinema or dancing lessons workshops.

Trips

Optional module

In addition, two excursions are offered (with additional cost) to Cuenca and Candeleda (Ávila).The excursions out of Toledo even though offered in the course package are optional and carried out on Satur- days in order not to interfere in the aca- demic program.

Course Certification

Final exam to determine level

At the end of the course, students over an 80% of the minimum required assistance will get a certificate by the Spanish Programme in Toledo of the University of Casti- lla-La Mancha. This certificate shows the final mark of the student and his language level according to the MCER levels. In the case of necessity, the certification could also include additional information in order to recognize the course by the student’s origin institution through a collabora- tion agreement between both institutions.
